"NOW this is for The Guiness Book"

High Blood Pressure and pregnancy are not a bad mix if monitered closely and taken care of. The problems with High Blood Pressure is:
  • it causes decreased flow to the placenta
  • premature pergnancy
  • and not to mention the chances of a stroke
Alisha was in the best hospital under the best care and they were doing all they could.

"NEWS" Beth was in labor so my grandaughter was about to make her debut. Sad to miss this time in my life, but I was needed and glad to be where I was.
The decisions as to what was going to take place, with Alisha were still up in the air. So close to the phone I waited to hear about Lanna's arrival.
Alisha still being stuck and blood continously taken, she was about to crack. I have never understood why you can't get the blood you need and don't come back for more. She started crying and all the emotions were pouring out. I had to think quick, her crying was not going to help this situation at all. So I said "Alisha we're going to build your dream home". "If you we're able to have a clean slate and could have what you wanted, what would you have?" "What would your colors be?"
her thoughts changed instead of being scared and crying she started thinking. We talked and we created. :0)
It's mid-day and the annoucement of Miss Lanna Abigal Johnson has arrived. Cute as a button, healthy was Mom and baby doing great! Can't wait to see her.
The day wanders on and the doctor is trying to make the right decision. Blood Pressure still unbelievable, the doctor says the baby may be a c-section soon. I have now read every book I brought and now was reading them for the second time. Watching Alisha catnap off and on I was taking advantage of doing a little myself.
Before the day of 11/11/04 ended The Lord blessed me with another grandbaby. This time it's the most precious baby boy. I remember waiting in the waiting room, snow on the ground outside and not a soul to talk to. Jason comes out with this tiny baby in his arms. Jason's face was like every proud dad, only he still had this concern for Alisha. She was not out of harms way. Blood Pressure still crazy high, she still had a long way to go.
Luke Aidan, yes Luke Adian Radich came into this world a preemie and ever so tiny in Jason's arms. Off to his new place with lots of monitering and attention. "Mom" Jason says "come on" Me? "Grandmother gets to go?"  "Yep" Jason says.
Thru the doors only few special people get to enter behind was "special grandmother" me. Babies, babies, babies with nurses all busy taking care of all their needs. I get to watch this special nurse with my special tiny Luke clean every inch of that tiny little body. 4lbs ever so tiny, hooking him up to all these wires and swaddling him up like he was still in mom's tummy. Tears of joy to see what I missed having my babies, but getting to see this in my new role as a "grandmother". I am liking this new role and new title :0) Just wait til you see my pictures :0)
